I first saw this piece on social media, and as soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew that I had found a piece of art I connected with in a way I'd never felt before. I'm currently writing a novel, and the abstract landscape in "Periwinkle Days" immediately transported me to the novel's main location. I just graduated with a PhD, and this is the first time in my life I've had the financial possibility to purchase a piece of original art, and I'm so deeply grateful that this is the one I was able to bring home. It's miraculous in how it changes tone and shape with the light: in the morning, it's a crisp blue that feels like it's waking up with me; in the foggy, rainy afternoon, it's deeper, echoing the weather outside my window; and in the evening, lit by a warm table lamp, it feels like a portal to a world I'm itching to explore, something shadowed and intriguing. It's art that's abundantly alive, from the excellent brushwork to the way light manifests itself on the canvas at different times of the day. Every time I look at it, I see something new. I feel the way all the art historians say you're SUPPOSED to feel when looking at great art, and I'm so lucky that I get to see this painting, to explore it every day, for the rest of my life.
Still can't believe we actually own this piece. It was stunning online (we literally gasped the first time we saw it), but seeing it in person was overwhelming in the best way. The depth of color and texture is incredible. From the sea mist to the beautiful sunset, it transports you to the shores. We love Acadia, so displaying this in our home feels extra special. You can't help but stop in your tracks and admire it for a moment when you walk by. We actually teared up when it arrived and it's already one of our most prized possessions.
I've done a few commissions with Maggie in addition to purchasing from her seasonal collections. She has such a unique and beautiful way of creating art that is balanced and serene with beautiful texture. Imagine walking through your home and seeing something beautiful that never loses its appeal and provides a moment of calm and beauty, even when the outside world doesn't match that feeling...That's the feeling Maggie's art evokes for me and I'm forever grateful.

I’m so in love with this piece. The shading for the fields and sky is so moody, offset by the pop of color for the poppies. I just sit and stare, getting lost in the piece.

This is the second piece of artwork I have purchased from Maggie. The first was an original the second a print. I love them both!
I'm often worried about prints falling flat or feeling cheap and while original paintings are a class of their own - this piece and the other print I purchased are beautiful. They are featured in our guest half bath alongside each other and I have received many compliments! They were delivered in reasonably sturdy packaging with no damage - though I would recommend an extra, larger cardboard piece for deliveries for extra protection just in case.
This is just the piece I was looking for in my living room! I'm so excited to get it framed and on the wall.
